NUTCASE HELMETS AUSTRALASIA SPONSORS THE NORTHERN BRISBANE ROLLERS

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Nutcase Helmets - founded in 2005 in Portland, Oregon, by former NIKE Creative Director Michael Morrow - designs Street, Water, Snow and Toddler helmets with unique designs and street appeal.

In July 2010, Nutcase Helmets Australasia began their sponsorship of the Northern Brisbane Rollers, an all-women’s flat track roller derby team. Spectators at upcoming bouts will be notice the travel team (called "The Love Rockettes") with matching Limited Edition Soda Pop Nutcase Street helmets. The Nutcase Street range is suitable for multi-sport use, including roller-skating, cycling and skateboarding. 

The vision and purpose of the Northern Brisbane Rollers is to create a competitive league to enhance health and well being and to breakdown preconceptions about women in sport and to have fun! These goals are enthusiastically supported by Nutcase Helmets Australasia.

The popularity of roller derby as a women’s sport has gained momentum and high-visibility in recent years, and Nutcase Helmets worldwide has has been involved in the sponsorship of teams including The London Roller Girls, UK, and the Berlin Bomb Shells, Germany, Rubber City Roller Girls (USA) and Mid Michigan Rollergirls (USA) just to name a few.

Nutcase Helmets are sold throughout the Unites State, Canada, Europe, Japan and Australasia and is a popular choice among derby, cycle and the children’s market. Demand is expected to be especially high over the 2010-11 summer season.

Five Derby Teams are invited each year to apply for sponsorship.
